Lewa Conservancy – Sirikoi Lodge – Cats

I was fortunate to have been able to photograph a beautiful pride of two lionesses and their cubs over two days. The male has been elusive. I have taken hundreds of pictures of the lions but without my big computer I am unable to properly edit. I have selected a few photographs to post for the time being.

I would like you to met Sheba the beautiful cheeta at Sirikoi lodge seen with me in the jeep. She was brought to Sirikoi when she was one month old to be reared. She is just over 1 year old now and has taught herself to hunt and will leave the camp for days but occasionally comes home to visit friends and family.

I will posting a second gallery of cat photos taken after a recent kill of a baby eland, be warned they  are graphic.

Beautiful, amazing photos. Such a wonderful experience. I can’t believe you are actually petting a cheetah!

That Cheeta must be a “pet”, or it had one hell of a feed before you got buddy, buddy…..Yikes!!!
